TEOTIHUACAN 20 Cents Mexico
Full collection of 20 cents coins 1943-1974.
Collection with 20 coins "Teotihuacan Pyramid".
Material and diameter: Bronze, 28 mm.
Obverse: National Shield with the phrase: "United Mexican States".
Reverse: Number 20, with glowing Phrygian cap, the inscription "FREEDOM" and the "Mo" mint. In the background, the Popocatépetl and Iztaccihuatl volcanoes and the Pyramid of the Sun of Teotihuacan are observed.
The issuance of this bronze coin was authorized by presidential decree of August 3, 1943.
The wedges were made by the Mexican mint engraver, Manuel Luna Negrete, with the help of his collaborator, Francisco Rivera Paniagua.
There are three stages of this currency: the emissions between 1943 and 1955, between 1955 and 1971 and, finally, those minted in 1971, 1973 and 1974.
The four dates with the highest price, with respect to the others, because the difficult to find them,  are: 1951, 1952, 1955 and 1959.
