This is a significant and striking piece of Italian faience from the mountain town of Castelli, where this kind of majolica was made for five centuries. The vase is hand painted -  painted flowers Gentian signed in Italian "Genziana"
Vase In excellent condition, without chips, cracks or other damage, and also signed and dated, as shown in the photos. This is a terrific piece of modern majolica, and it really does make a statement.
